The {Easiest} Baby Booties

I'm often on the prowl for new knitting patterns that are easy, practical, and fun to make. So the latest one I found was for little baby booties! I received some soft yarn in some fun colours for a gift so what's better than to use it for something like this?!

The Easiest Baby Booties

Size: Newborn (0-3mo)*

Materials:
5mm knitting needles
Worsted weight yarn (two colours if you want to do stripes)
Darning needle
Row counter
Scissors

Abbreviations:
K = knit
k2tog = knit two together (pick up two stitches and knit together as if they are one)

Pattern:
Cast on 37 stitches
Knit for 10 rows (for stripes change colours every 2 rows)
K15, k2tog, k3, k2tog, k15
K14, k2tog, k3, k2tog, k14
K13, k2tog, k3, k2tog, k13
K12, k2tog, k3, k2tog, k12
K11, k2tog, k3, k2tog, k11
K10, k2tog, k3, k2tog, k10

Knit 14 rows (in the colour that you want the cuff to be)

Bind off loosely.
Fold bootie in half with wrong side out.
Sew up the bottom and back seam.
Flip right side out and fold cuff over.
You're done one now onto the 2nd bootie!

*for more sizes see the original pattern here.

It's like a teeny tiny stocking :)

Happy knitting!
